Klasztor Frauenchiemsee








Na bawarskim jeziorze Chiemsee  znajduje się klasztor benedyktynek...  Został założony w 782 roku przez księcia Tassilo III z rodu Karolingów... Zniszczony przez najazdy węgierskie... Zostaje odbudowany w X wieku... Obecny kościół jest pochodzenia romańskiego i stoi na fundamentach dawnej budowli Karolingów... Sklepienie jest gotyckie ale ołtarze są w stylu barokowym... W kościele odkryto romańskie freski z 860 i mają wpływy bizantyjskie... Wolnostojąca dzwonnica pochodzi z XII wieku i jest symbolem wyspy... Jest masywna, ośmioboczna a jej wieża nakryta jest cebulastą kopułą...
